Pride Jazzy Carbon 27X

Folds vertically to 12" wide and weighs 27.5 lbs. before the battery
A carbon fiber X-frame chair that folds vertically and stands narrow instead of lying flat. Up to 8 miles on a charge, up to 3.7 mph, and 275 lbs. of capacity on a 10 Ah lithium battery.
Built for real life
What stands out
Folds vertically on an X-frame
The X-frame folds the chair nearly flat in the vertical position. Folded it measures 34" long, 12" wide and 30" high, so it stands narrow rather than lying flat.
Airline compliant lithium battery
One 24V 10 Ah lithium battery weighs 3.5 lbs. and charges at 3.5 amps. Pride builds the 10 Ah battery to airline rules, and every airline sets its own policy, so call yours before you fly.
18" seat with a cushioned back
An 18" by 18" seat with a cushioned back, a removable seat cushion and a storage pocket on the back. A cushion and an adjustable lap belt come standard.
Solid tires and 3" of clearance
7" front tires and 10" rear tires on 3" of ground clearance. Solid tires never go flat, so there is nothing to inflate and nothing to puncture.
The Jazzy Carbon 27X is the one to look at when storage space is the problem. The X-frame folds the chair vertically to 12" wide, so it stands against a wall or slots down the side of a trunk instead of lying flat across it. It weighs 27.5 lbs. before the 3.5 lbs. battery goes in. The honest caveat: you pay for that fold in every other number. It carries 275 lbs., which is among the lowest capacities we sell, it goes up to 8 miles on a charge, and its motor is 150W against 250W on the Jazzy Carbon. If you weigh more than 275 lbs. or want more range, the Jazzy Carbon carries 300 lbs. and goes up to 9.3 miles for less money, and it folds flat rather than vertically.
Straight talk
Is it right for you?
A good fit if you
- need the chair to store narrow, it folds vertically to 12" wide and 30" high

- fly and want a lithium battery built to airline rules, after you check with your airline

Look elsewhere if you
- weigh more than 275 lbs., the Jazzy Carbon carries 300 lbs., folds flat and costs less

- want a choice of seat widths, this seat is one size at 18" W X 18" D and the Jazzy EVO 614 offers three

Common questions
Folded it is 34" long, 12" wide and 30" high. The X-frame folds it vertically rather than flat, so it stands narrow down the side of a trunk or against a wall in a closet.
Pride publishes up to 8 miles per charge. Real range varies with your weight, the terrain, the battery charge, the battery condition and tire condition, and Pride states a variance of plus or minus 10 percent on that figure.
The chair weighs 27.5 lbs. without its battery. The battery adds 3.5 lbs. and lifts out, so you can take it out first to make the chair lighter to load.
Pride builds the 10 Ah lithium battery to airline rules. Carrying it is still subject to federal regulations and to each airline's own policy, so call your airline before you fly.
One size, 18" wide by 18" deep, with a cushioned back, a removable seat cushion and a storage pocket on the back. Seat-to-ground height is 19.7".
Pride gives 5 years limited on the frame and 13 months limited on the electronics, the drivetrain and the battery. The full terms are in the Warranty tab on this page.

Pride Mobility builds this power wheelchair in one color.
Included.What does this mean?
Pride builds this power wheelchair with one seat, 18" wide and 18" deep, so there is nothing to choose here. What matters is whether it fits you.
Sit upright and have someone measure the widest part of your hips. If that is more than about 16" you will be tight in this seat. The seat size is part of how this chair folds, so a wider seat means a different chair. Call us and we will point you at one.
The back is cushioned and carries a storage pocket, and the seat cushion lifts out, so you can fit your own cushion if you already have one.

This section sets which armrest the controller sits on.
Put it on the hand you already use. For most people that is the hand they write with. Choose the other side if that hand is out of commission.
This power wheelchair has one controller and it unplugs with a quick disconnect for transport.

This section is what your feet rest on.
This power wheelchair has adjustable foot rests and Pride publishes no alternative for them, so there is nothing to choose here.
If you need legrests that swing to the side and lift off, call us and we will point you at a chair that offers them.
Select one.What does this mean?
This section is how your order reaches you and how far into your home it comes.
Curbside is the free option. The power wheelchair ships from the manufacturer straight to your address. Allow about two to three days for the order to be processed and shipped, then about five more in transit depending on where you live. No carrier in this trade quotes an exact date, so treat both figures as estimates rather than promises. It arrives boxed at the curb, and getting it inside is yours to arrange.
This one comes in a single box and the setup is not hard. The box goes through a normal doorway and most people manage it on their own. The free option is a fair choice here.
Inside delivery means we bring it just inside your front door or into the garage, still in its packaging.
White glove takes a different route. It does not come to your address first. It ships to the delivery technician nearest you, and once it arrives there the technician calls you and books a time that suits you, then brings it into your home, sets it up in the room you choose, checks it for shipping damage and takes all the packaging away. That extra leg adds a few days, and the date is settled between you and the technician, so we cannot give you one up front.
