The Protekt Heavy Duty Bariatric Rollator is built for a heavier user and for ground that is not smooth. The reinforced steel frame holds 500 lbs., the seat is 18" W X 13.5" D against the 13.5" seat on a standard rollator, and it rolls on 8" casters with soft grip tires that take kerbs and rough pavement far better than 6" wheels. Handles adjust from 34" to 38", which is a taller range than the standard models. It has the same flip-up padded seat, two-button removable backrest, ergonomic hand brakes and nylon pouch, and it folds for storage.

What stands out
Three things separate this from the standard rollators and all three matter: 500 lbs. of capacity on reinforced steel, an 18" wide seat where the others give you 13.5", and 8" casters instead of 6", which is what turns a kerb or a rough path from an obstacle into a bump. The handle range is also taller at 34" to 38", so it suits a taller user better than the standard frame does.
The cost is size and weight. It is 29" wide overall, which is close enough to a standard interior doorway that you should measure yours before ordering, and 24 lbs., which is nearly double the aluminum rollator and a real lift into a car. It comes in black only.
At $179 with a limited lifetime warranty it is the right pick if you need the capacity, the seat width or the bigger wheels, and the wrong one if you just want something light to fold into a boot.
