Air that moves between the cells
Every cell is linked to its neighbours, so air shifts to wherever you need it as you sit. You settle into the cushion instead of sitting on top of it, which spreads pressure and reduces friction and shear on the skin.

Three cell heights
High Profile cells stand 4.25" tall, Mid Profile 3.25" and Low Profile 2.25". Taller cells let you sink in deeper. Shorter cells keep you closer to the seat and add less height to the chair.

Set by hand in a few minutes
Inflate it with the pump in the box, sit in your normal position, then let air out until your fingertips can just move under your lowest bony point. ROHO aims for ½" to 1" of air between you and the seat.

Sized to your seat
ROHO builds each cushion from rows of air cells, from 6 to 15 cells wide. That gives 80 stock sizes across the three profiles, from 12" to 27" wide.
The Hieline Take
The Single Compartment is ROHO's basic air cell cushion: one chamber of air, no foam base and no zones to set. Because every cell shares air, the cushion shapes itself to whoever sits on it, and that is what moves pressure off the sitting bones. It only works when the air is set right, so it suits a rider or caregiver who will do the hand check and keep the pump close. It will not hold a rider who slides or leans, so a positioning cushion is the better choice there. Choose the profile by how deep you need to sink in and how much height the chair can take, then size it to the seat of the chair.

A cushion is a support surface that sits against the body, so once it ships it cannot be returned. Measure the seat of your wheelchair before you order and use the cell counts in the Width and Depth steps. The warranty is unaffected, so a defect is still covered.
If something goes wrong
Call us first at 1-855-HIELINE. We file the claim with ROHO for you and get the covered part sorted out rather than handing you a phone number.
High Profile has 4.25" cells and gives the deepest immersion. Mid Profile at 3.25" and Low Profile at 2.25" add less height to the seat. If you are replacing a ROHO cushion, choose the profile you have now. If you have a pressure injury, a clinician should choose it with you.
How do I choose the size?
Match the width and depth of your wheelchair seat. ROHO counts sizes in cells: 16" to 17" is 9 cells, 18" to 19" is 10 cells, 20" to 21" is 11 cells, 22" is 12 cells, 23" to 24" is 13 cells, 25" is 14 cells and 26" to 27" is 15 cells. The Width and Depth steps only offer the sizes ROHO makes in the profile you picked.
Why do sizes 22" and wider cost more?
ROHO prices the cushion at 22" wide and over, 12 to 15 cells, at a higher list price. Those sizes are also billed under HCPCS E2623 instead of E2622.
Is there a weight limit?
No. ROHO sets no weight limit on this cushion when it is sized correctly to the person using it.
What comes in the box?
The cushion, its cover, a hand pump, a repair kit and ROHO's operating instructions.
What is the heavy duty cover?
A tougher cover fabric for hard daily use. ROHO makes it on five High Profile sizes: 16" X 16", 16" X 18", 18" X 16", 18" X 18" and 18" X 20". It adds $17 and it is not coded for billing.
How do I set the air?
Place the cushion with the cells up and the valve at the front left. Open the valve, inflate until the cushion arches slightly, and close it. Sit in your normal position, slide a hand under your lowest bony point and let air out until your fingertips can just move. Close the valve. The adjustment guide in the Resources tab shows each step.
Does it work with Smart Check?
No. Smart Check pairs with the ROHO Single Compartment Sensor Ready cushion, which is a separate model.
Can I return it?
No. A cushion is a support surface, so it cannot be returned once it ships. The warranty still applies to any defect.
Is Hieline an authorized Permobil supplier?
Yes. Hieline is a Permobil Authorized Supplier, and Permobil makes ROHO cushions.
