The 6Runner 14 is Shoprider's 450 lbs. capacity power chair. It drives from 14" wheels in the middle of the base, with a 7" caster at each corner, so six wheels stay on the ground. It comes with a 21" wide reclining captain seat, adjustable armrests, suspension and two 12V 50Ah batteries.

The 14" drive wheels sit under the middle of the seat, so the chair turns close to its own center, and a caster at each corner keeps six wheels on the ground for a steady feel on ramps and curb cuts. The seat is a 21" by 21" reclining captain seat on Shoprider's four post seating system, the armrests adjust and flip back, and the batteries are easy to reach. Two 12V 50Ah batteries give up to 16 miles per Shoprider's sales sheet. Choose a swing-away joystick mount if you pull up to a table, and an extra large footplate, swing-away footrests or elevating legrests if you need them. The trade is weight and width: it weighs about 234 lbs. and is 26" wide, so check your doorways, and plan on a vehicle lift or a van with a ramp for travel.

Curbside is the free option. The power wheelchair ships from the manufacturer straight to your address. Allow about two to three days for the order to be processed and shipped, then about five more in transit depending on where you live. No carrier in this trade quotes an exact date, so treat both figures as estimates rather than promises. It is left boxed at the curb, and everything after that is yours.
Read this before you take the free option. A full-size power wheelchair is a two person job. It usually arrives in more than one box, and those boxes usually will not fit through a standard 32 inch doorway, so they have to be opened in the garage or outside and the power wheelchair driven in once it is built. The setup is the hard part. It is not beyond anyone, and it is far easier the second time than the first.
