The Jimmie is a power chair you can take in the car. It comes apart in three pieces with a quick-disconnect system and no cables to unplug, and the heaviest piece weighs 35.8 lbs., so it lifts into a trunk in stages. It still has the parts of a full power chair: a captain seat with a headrest, armrests that adjust for height and angle, a footplate with 11.5" to 18.5" of adjustment and a seat height you can set. Rear-wheel drive on 9" solid tires means nothing to pump up. Choose a swing-away or length-adjustable joystick mount if you pull up to a table, and swing-away footrests or elevating legrests if you need them. The trade is range and ground: Shoprider publishes up to 7 miles and 2" of ground clearance, so it is built for floors, sidewalks and store aisles.
