The Streamer Sport is a straightforward rear-wheel drive power chair for daily use. Rear-wheel drive tracks straight and feels natural at speed on sidewalks and in parking lots, and 3" of ground clearance helps over thresholds and uneven paving. The 19" wide captain seat has a headrest, and the armrests adjust for height and width and flip back for transfers. Two 12V 36Ah batteries and a 5A off-board charger give up to 8 miles per Shoprider's sales sheet. Choose a swing-away or length-adjustable joystick mount if you pull up to a table, and an extra large footplate, swing-away footrests or elevating legrests if you need them. The trade is turning and portability: a rear-wheel drive chair swings its front end wider in a turn than a mid-wheel drive chair, and at 164 lbs. it travels on a vehicle lift or in a van with a ramp.

Return shipping to us is yours to arrange, and the shipping we paid to deliver it to you is deducted from your refund along with that fee.
Common questions
Shoprider's sales sheet table lists up to 8 miles, and its product text says 10 miles. We publish the lower figure. Real range drops with rider weight, hills and rough ground.
Rear-wheel drive, per Shoprider's product page and catalog. One line on the sales sheet calls it mid-wheel drive, which does not match the rest of Shoprider's documents.
Shoprider's order form and catalog list 10" solid tires as standard. The sales sheet table says pneumatic. We publish the order form.
The standard in-line mount is fixed to the armrest. A swing-away or length-adjustable mount moves the joystick out of the way so you can pull up to a table or a desk.
You choose left or right when you build the chair.
Shoprider covers the frame for 5 years, the electronics and the motor, transaxle and brake for 12 months, and the batteries for 6 months. Warranty repair labor is covered for the first year in the 48 contiguous states.

Curbside is the free option. The power wheelchair ships from the manufacturer straight to your address. Allow about two to three days for the order to be processed and shipped, then about five more in transit depending on where you live. No carrier in this trade quotes an exact date, so treat both figures as estimates rather than promises. It is left boxed at the curb, and everything after that is yours.
Read this before you take the free option. A full-size power wheelchair is a two person job. It usually arrives in more than one box, and those boxes usually will not fit through a standard 32 inch doorway, so they have to be opened in the garage or outside and the power wheelchair driven in once it is built. The setup is the hard part. It is not beyond anyone, and it is far easier the second time than the first.
