The Supernal 5 is the Transfer Master bed for someone whose care calls for more than head, foot and height. It adds a 10 degree tilt each way, head down for Trendelenburg and head up for reverse Trendelenburg, and a cardiac chair position that brings a person from lying flat to sitting upright, while still looking like a bedroom bed. At 12" the deck is low for sitting down onto it, and at 24" it comes up to a height a caregiver can work at, and Transfer Master states it works with most patient lift systems. Three things are worth knowing before you order. Transfer Master rates it for home use only and states it is not approved for hospital use. Its warranty is 1 year on the frame and on the electronics. The cherry headboard cannot be used when two beds are pushed together as a king, and a mattress cannot be returned once it is delivered, so settle the size and the mattress before you buy.
