The Leo II is for someone who already gets around in a manual wheelchair and wants to stand up many times a day without a transfer. Everything is done by hand. You release the gas springs with the armrest levers and push lightly on the armrests, and the springs carry most of your weight, so the stand is only as hard as a small push. Two things decide whether it fits. The first is medical, since the manual asks every rider to see a doctor or physical therapist first and names strong contractures and osteoporosis as reasons not to stand. The second is strength, because the chair only rises when your arms push it. If your hands are weak, the Pegasus II does the same job with a button. Within those limits it gives you a 14", 16" or 18" seat that adjusts to your body, a weight of 59 lbs., and a frame that comes apart for the car.
