The Modo Breeze exists for one problem: a power chair light enough to handle alone. The carbon fibre frame brings it to 28.6 lbs. with the battery and cushions taken out, and the X-frame folds nearly flat, so it goes behind a car seat rather than filling a boot. Read the weight carefully, because it is the number people get wrong. Fully assembled with the 3.9 lbs. battery and the 1.2 lbs. cushions back in it is closer to 34 lbs., which is still the lightest chair we carry by a wide margin. What you give up for that weight is range and reach: 9.5 miles against 12.4 on the Model F and the Model C2, 3.7 mph, and small solid tyres on a chair with no suspension, so this is a pavement and indoor machine. The 300 lbs. capacity is the surprise, because it matches chairs three times the weight. If you travel constantly and load the chair yourself, this is the one. If you want range and rough ground, the Model C2 is the chair and it costs twice as much.
