A battery-operated key fob that locks and unlocks a WHILL device the way a car key does. It fits the Model C2, the Model F and both Model R scooters, so one part covers whichever WHILL you own.
A battery-operated remote key fob that locks and unlocks the WHILL Model C2, Model F and Model R.
What stands out
The case for the Smart Key is not theft in the abstract, it is the ten minutes your chair spends outside a restaurant or in a hotel lobby while you are not beside it. A locked WHILL will not drive, so wheeling it away is the only option left to anyone, and that is a much larger job than sitting on it and pressing a lever. It is also the simplest way to stop a grandchild switching a chair on. It works by remote, so you do not have to reach the controller to use it, and the same part fits the Model C2, the Model F and both Model R scooters. It runs on its own battery, so it is one more thing to change every so often.
Straight talk
Is it right for you?
A good fit if you
- leave your device outside a shop, a restaurant or a hotel room
- want to stop anyone switching it on when you are not there
- own a Model C2, a Model F or a Model R
Look elsewhere if you
- want a physical lock that chains the device to something, which this is not
- own a Modo Breeze, because it does not fit
The WHILL Smart Key is covered by WHILL's own limited warranty. Call 1-855-HIELINE or email care@hieline.com and a specialist will send you the current terms in full.
