Head and foot adjust by remote, at Flexabed's lowest price

Built for real life
What stands out
●
Head and foot adjust on their own
The head section and the foot section each lift from their own buttons, and a third pair of buttons moves both at once.
●
Built to order in Georgia
Flexabed builds each bed by hand in LaFayette, Georgia, in the size, the length and the mattress you choose.
●
A simple wired remote
Six buttons on a cord, so the remote stays with the bed.
●
Takes your headboard
Headboard mounting brackets are fitted at the factory, so the bed can carry a headboard you already own.
●
Soft, medium or firm
The innerspring mattress has a 336 coil Bonnell spring unit and comes in three firmnesses.
●
Ready for side rails
Order side rails with the bed and Flexabed fits their mounting plates at the factory. The bed takes up to four.
●
Two beds side by side
Two Twin beds make a king and two Split Queen sides make a queen, and each side adjusts on its own.
●
Lowers flat in a power cut
Two 9V batteries in the power supply, which are not included, lower the bed to flat if the power fails.
The Hieline Take
The Value-Flex is the plain Flexabed. It lifts the head and the foot from a wired remote with six buttons, and Flexabed builds it by hand in LaFayette, Georgia on the same 2" padded foundation as the Premier, with the same limited lifetime warranty. What it leaves out is what makes it cost less. It comes with the wired remote only, so it takes no voice control, no massage, no underbed lights and no phone app, and its remote stores no positions. Its mattress is the innerspring in soft, medium or firm, and the memory foam, gel and latex mattresses are for the Premier and the Hi-Low SL. It is made as a Twin, a Full, a Queen or a Split Queen side, and there is no one-piece King. If any of that matters to you, the Premier is the bed to look at. Three things are worth knowing before you order. Side rails mount on plates that Flexabed fits at the factory, so order the rails with the bed, and a Split Queen side takes no side rails at all. The standard frame carries a person of up to 300 lbs., and Flexabed recommends its Heavy Duty Reinforcement for anyone heavier. The top of the foundation is 13-1/2" from the floor on casters and 11-1/4" on leg pads, and Flexabed gives the standard bed height as 22". Flexabed states that an adjustable bed should not be considered an alternative to a hospital bed, and that a physician should be consulted where health issues are involved. Each bed is built to order and cannot be returned, so settle the size, the length and the mattress before you buy.

What comes with the bed?
The adjustable base with its motors, the wired remote, locking casters or leg pads, headboard mounting brackets, the mattress retainer bar at the foot, and the innerspring mattress in the firmness you choose, unless you pick the base on its own. Side rails, the battery backup pack and the Heavy Duty Reinforcement are options on this page.
How is the Value-Flex different from the Premier?
Both lift the head and the foot and both take a headboard. The Value-Flex comes with a wired remote only and an innerspring mattress only. The Premier adds a choice of a wireless remote with memory positions, voice control, massage, underbed lights and a phone app, five more kinds of mattress, and a one-piece King.
What does the remote do?
It has six buttons on a cord. Two raise and lower the head, two raise and lower the foot, and two raise and lower both together. It stores no positions.
How high is the bed?
The top of the foundation is 13-1/2" from the floor on casters and 11-1/4" on leg pads, and Flexabed gives the standard bed height as 22". Leg extensions raise the bed by 2" to 7".
Which firmness should I choose?
All three are the same innerspring mattress, 8-3/4" thick with a 336 coil Bonnell spring unit under a quilted top. The firmness comes from the foam layers over and under the springs, which Flexabed makes soft, medium or firm.
Which size and length do I need?
Twin, Full and Split Queen side beds come 74", 80" or 84" long, and Queen beds come 80" or 84" long. The 74" and 80" lengths cost the same. The 84" length costs more, and the price of each 84" card shows it.
Can two people sleep side by side?
Yes. A Full or a Queen is one bed with one mattress, so both sleepers move together. For a king where each side adjusts on its own, set the quantity to 2 and choose a Twin. For a queen where each side adjusts on its own, set the quantity to 2 and choose a Split Queen side.
What is a Split Queen side?
It is one bed 30" wide, which is half the width of a queen. Two of them side by side make a queen where each side adjusts on its own. A Split Queen side takes no side rails, because it has no plates to mount them on.
Can I use my headboard?
Yes. The Value-Flex has headboard mounting brackets fitted at the factory. Each one is turned outward by removing two nuts and bolts, and the brackets are mild steel, so they can be bent to line up with your headboard. Two Twin beds on one king headboard use the outside bracket of each bed.
Do I need the Heavy Duty Reinforcement?
Flexabed recommends it for occupants over 300 lbs. It is a reinforced frame with six legs in place of four, double steel in the frame and the lift arms, and heavy duty motors. Flexabed builds it into the bed, so it has to be chosen when you order.
Can I add side rails later?
Order them with the bed. Flexabed states that a bed ordered with side rails comes ready for them, with the mounting plates fitted at the factory. A Split Queen side takes no side rails at all. The white bar at the foot of the bed in the photos is the mattress retainer bar, which comes with every bed.
Can I lean on a side rail to get in or out?
Do not rely on one for that. Flexabed describes its side rails as added security while you sleep and as a help with repositioning in bed, and its own pages disagree on whether a rail should take your weight while you get in or out.
What happens in a power cut?
The power supply holds two 9V batteries, which are not included, and they lower the bed to flat. They do not raise it. The battery backup pack on this page goes further and runs the head and the foot motors while the power is out.
Is this a hospital bed?
No. Flexabed states that its adjustable beds should not be considered an alternative to a hospital bed, and that a physician should be consulted where health issues are involved.
What do I have to put together?
The casters thread into the legs and are tightened with a 1/2" wrench, or the leg pads are tightened by hand, and the bed plugs into a household outlet. A base ordered on its own also needs its mattress retainer bar fitted, which is four wing nuts. Side rails bolt to the mounting plates with a 9/16" wrench.
How is it delivered?
Shipping is free, and the carrier brings the bed to the curb or the end of your driveway. White glove delivery, which brings the bed into your bedroom and sets it up, is $485. Having the bed you have now moved to a different room is $195, and having it taken away and disposed of is $250. You choose these in the buy box. Flexabed states that standard orders ship within 3 business days.
Can I return it?
No. Flexabed builds each bed to order in the size, length, mattress and options you choose, so it cannot be returned. If it arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, tell us within 48 hours and we will put it right at no cost to you.
What is the warranty?
Flexabed gives a limited lifetime warranty on the entire bed, including the mattress, and it passes to a new owner if the bed is sold or given away. For the first 12 months repairs are done in the home at no charge. After that a part can be bought from the factory, or sent in freight prepaid for repair or replacement for a $100.00 fee plus return shipping.
