Harmar AL425
The AL425 is a two axis inside hoist lift. It raises a manual wheelchair, a power wheelchair or a scooter weighing up to 400 lbs. and swings it into the vehicle, both under power from a hand control. It weighs 66 lbs. installed, it can be fitted on either the driver side or the passenger side, and Harmar puts a universal base adapter in the box.

The AL425 raises a manual wheelchair, a power wheelchair or a scooter weighing up to 400 lbs. into your vehicle under power. It lifts and it rotates from a hand control, the offset post lets you unload at the side of the vehicle, and it needs only 30" of headroom to work.

The boom raises and swings under power from a weather-resistant hand control, so neither the lift nor the turn is done by hand. A wireless key fob is available and it is listed in the step headed Accessories.
Takes up to 400 lbs. inside the vehicle
It lifts a manual wheelchair, a power wheelchair or a scooter and places it inside, so your equipment travels in the vehicle rather than on a platform behind it.
The offset post unloads at the side
Harmar sets the post off to one side, so the mobility device can be unloaded at the side of the vehicle rather than directly behind it. The lift can be fitted on either the driver side or the passenger side.
A universal base adapter comes in the box
The lift bolts to the vehicle floor on a base adapter and Harmar includes the universal one. If your vehicle takes one of the named adapters instead, you can choose it in the step headed Base adapter and it is charged at list price.
A docking device holds your equipment, and it is sold separately
Harmar does not include one, because the right part depends on your chair or scooter. Choose the one that matches your equipment in the step headed Your docking device, or tell us what you have and we match it for you before your order ships.
The AL425 is the lift to look at when you want the wheelchair or scooter to travel inside the vehicle and you do not want to do any of the lifting yourself. Both movements are powered, the raise and the swing, which is what separates it from the smaller hoists where you turn the boom by hand. It takes 400 lbs., which covers most power wheelchairs rather than just a folding chair or a travel scooter, and the offset post means the equipment comes off at the side of the vehicle instead of directly behind it. Harmar puts a universal base adapter in the box, so most vehicles need nothing extra to mount it.
There are three honest caveats. It needs 30" of headroom at the point where the equipment goes in, so measure that before anything else. The docking device that actually grips your chair is not in the box and it is a real second cost, priced on this page so you can see the whole figure before you order. And the equipment takes up room inside the vehicle once it is loaded, which is the trade you are making for keeping the back of the car clear.
Look at the AL300 Fusion or the AL500 instead if you would rather the device rode outside on a platform, because those keep the cabin free. Look elsewhere entirely if your equipment weighs more than 400 lbs.

Fitting it to your vehicle

What is not covered
The three year term runs from the date of installation and from the date of retail purchase. Harmar states that the warranty is transferable only where the application is approved by Harmar's Compatibility Calculator, so a lift fitted to a vehicle that was never checked may not carry a transferable warranty.
If something goes wrong
Call us first at 1-855-HIELINE. We file the claim with Harmar for you and get the covered part sorted out rather than handing you a phone number. The base warranty covers parts, so ask us about service and labor options when you call.
Returns
A hoist lift cannot be returned. It is fitted to your vehicle, wired into it and in many installations drilled into it, so once that work is done the unit is matched to one car and it has no second life on the shelf. This is exactly why the steps beside this panel exist. They settle the mounting, the adapter and the plate riser before you order.
A unit that arrives damaged or faulty is a different matter and is covered above. Contact us before anyone begins the installation.

This answer decides how much you have to work out yourself. A hoist lift is wired into the vehicle and bolted to a base inside it, so it is fitted rather than unpacked.
