Harmar AL425HD
The AL425HD is the heavy duty version of Harmar's two axis inside hoist lift. It raises a manual wheelchair, a power wheelchair or a scooter weighing up to 450 lbs. and swings it into the vehicle, both under power from a hand control. It weighs 70 lbs. installed, its arm reaches higher and its length adjusts less far than the standard AL425, and Harmar puts a universal base adapter in the box.

The AL425HD raises a manual wheelchair, a power wheelchair or a scooter weighing up to 450 lbs. into your vehicle under power. It lifts and it rotates from a hand control, the offset post lets you unload at the side of the vehicle, and Harmar builds it to keep a backup camera working.

Power lifting and power rotation
The boom raises and swings under power from a weather-resistant hand control, so neither the lift nor the turn is done by hand. A wireless key fob is available and it is listed in the step headed Accessories.
Takes up to 450 lbs. inside the vehicle
It lifts a manual wheelchair, a power wheelchair or a scooter and places it inside, so your equipment travels in the vehicle rather than on a platform behind it. That is 50 lbs. more than the standard AL425 carries.
The offset post unloads at the side
Harmar sets the post off to one side, so the mobility device can be unloaded at the side of the vehicle rather than directly behind it.
A universal base adapter comes in the box
The lift bolts to the vehicle floor on a base adapter and Harmar includes the universal one. If your vehicle takes one of the named adapters instead, you can choose it in the step headed Base adapter and it is charged at list price.
A docking device holds your equipment, and it is sold separately
Harmar does not include one, because the right part depends on your chair or scooter. Choose the one that matches your equipment in the step headed Your docking device, or tell us what you have and we match it for you before your order ships.
The AL425HD is the lift to look at when your power wheelchair is too heavy for the standard AL425 and you still want it travelling inside the vehicle. The 450 lbs. capacity is the whole reason this model exists, and it covers the large mid-wheel chairs that sit above the 400 lbs. line. Both movements are powered, the raise and the swing, and the offset post means the equipment comes off at the side of the vehicle instead of directly behind it. Harmar puts a universal base adapter in the box, so most vehicles need nothing extra to mount it.
There are three honest caveats, and two of them are specific to this model rather than the range. Harmar does not offer the battery pack here, so this lift is wired into the vehicle and there is no option to run it from its own battery. Harmar offers only two named base adapters for it, both for Ford trucks, where the standard AL425 has five to choose from. And the docking device that actually grips your chair is not in the box on either model, which is a real second cost, priced on this page so you can see the whole figure before you order.
Look at the standard AL425 instead if your equipment is under 400 lbs., because it costs less and it can take the battery pack. Look at the AL435 if you need a third axis. Look elsewhere entirely if your equipment weighs more than 450 lbs.

What is not covered
The three year term runs from the date of installation and from the date of retail purchase. Harmar states that the warranty is transferable only where the application is approved by Harmar's Compatibility Calculator, so a lift fitted to a vehicle that was never checked may not carry a transferable warranty.
If something goes wrong
Call us first at 1-855-HIELINE. We file the claim with Harmar for you and get the covered part sorted out rather than handing you a phone number. The base warranty covers parts, so ask us about service and labor options when you call.
Returns
A hoist lift cannot be returned. It is fitted to your vehicle, wired into it and in many installations drilled into it, so once that work is done the unit is matched to one car and it has no second life on the shelf. This is exactly why the steps beside this panel exist. They settle the mounting, the adapter and the plate riser before you order.
A unit that arrives damaged or faulty is a different matter and is covered above. Contact us before anyone begins the installation.

This answer decides how much you have to work out yourself. A hoist lift is wired into the vehicle and bolted to a base inside it, so it is fitted rather than unpacked.
