Harmar AL435
The AL435 is a three axis inside hoist lift. It lifts, it extends and it rotates, all under power from a hand control, which is the difference between it and the two axis lifts in the range. It takes a manual wheelchair, a power wheelchair or a scooter up to 400 lbs., it weighs 76 lbs. installed, and Harmar puts a folding arm and a universal base adapter in the box.

The AL435 raises a manual wheelchair, a power wheelchair or a scooter weighing up to 400 lbs. into your vehicle. It is Harmar's three axis lift, so the boom extends under power as well as lifting and turning, and it comes with a folding arm and a universal base adapter in the box.

The lift bolts to the vehicle floor on a base adapter and Harmar includes the universal one. If your vehicle takes one of the named adapters instead, you can choose it in the step headed Base adapter and it is charged at list price.
A docking device holds your equipment, and it is sold separately
Harmar does not include one, because the right part depends on your chair or scooter. Choose the one that matches your equipment in the step headed Your docking device, or tell us what you have and we match it for you before your order ships.
The AL435 is the inside hoist to look at when you want the wheelchair or scooter inside the vehicle and you are worried about how much room the lift itself will take. The powered extension is the whole point of it. The boom reaches out to collect the device and draws back in to stow it, so the working length is only there when it is needed, and it is the inside lift to look at if you have a larger powerchair or scooter and assumed an inside lift would not suit you.
Three honest caveats. It weighs 76 lbs. installed, which is the heaviest inside hoist we carry, and that weight sits in your vehicle permanently. It carries 400 lbs., so it is not the answer for the heaviest power wheelchairs, and the AL425HD is the model that takes 450 lbs. And the docking device that grips your chair is not in the box, which is a real second cost, priced on this page so you can see the whole figure before you order.
Look at the AL425 instead if a two axis lift will reach your equipment, because it costs less and weighs less. Look at the AL300 Fusion or the AL500 if you would rather the device rode outside on a platform and kept the cabin free.

Fitting it to your vehicle
A hoist lift is installed on the vehicle rather than unpacked and used. This is what that involves.
The lift mounts to the floor of the vehicle on a base adapter, and Harmar puts a universal base adapter in the box along with a folding arm. The boom reaches from 21" to 32" horizontally and its height adjusts from 32" to 43". The docking device that holds your equipment is not included, because the right part depends on the chair or scooter it has to lift.

Every order ships from the manufacturer to the address you give us. The carrier arranges a delivery window with you in advance. Installation is arranged separately, and we will point you at what your vehicle needs before you order rather than after.
Warranty and returns
The Harmar AL435 is covered by Harmar's own limited warranty, published by Harmar as follows.

What is not covered
The three year term runs from the date of installation and from the date of retail purchase. Harmar states that the warranty is transferable only where the application is approved by Harmar's Compatibility Calculator, so a lift fitted to a vehicle that was never checked may not carry a transferable warranty.
If something goes wrong
Call us first at 1-855-HIELINE. We file the claim with Harmar for you and get the covered part sorted out rather than handing you a phone number. The base warranty covers parts, so ask us about service and labor options when you call.
Returns
A hoist lift cannot be returned. It is fitted to your vehicle, wired into it and in many installations drilled into it, so once that work is done the unit is matched to one car and it has no second life on the shelf. This is exactly why the steps beside this panel exist. They settle the mounting, the adapter and the plate riser before you order.
A unit that arrives damaged or faulty is a different matter and is covered above. Contact us before anyone begins the installation.

The base adapter is the plate the lift bolts to inside the vehicle. Harmar includes the universal one and it suits most vehicles. Six named adapters are offered for this model, for truck beds, Stow-N-Go seating and particular Ford, Toyota, GMC and Chevrolet vehicles, and they are listed in the step headed Base adapter. A named adapter replaces the universal one and is charged at list price.
Not if you add the battery pack in the step headed Accessories. It runs the lift from its own battery with its own charger, and use it where a hybrid or electric vehicle has no 12 volt battery able to power a mobility lift.
All three movements run from a weather-resistant hand control. If you would rather not be tethered to the vehicle by a cord, the wireless remote is in the step headed Accessories.

The docking device is the fitting that grips your wheelchair or scooter so the lift can raise it. The manufacturer does not put one in the box, because the right one depends on your equipment, and the lift cannot carry anything without it. Most chairs and scooters lift either by the centre seat post or by the four post seat frame. Choose the one that matches yours and we confirm the exact part with you before your order ships.
2 · Your docking device
This answer decides how much you have to work out yourself. A hoist lift is wired into the vehicle and bolted to a base inside it, so it is fitted rather than unpacked.
These fit this model. Choose any you want and they are added to your order with the lift.
