The AL825 Pickup is Harmar's 225 Speed truck lift. The boom lifts and rotates from a weather-resistant pendant controller, and the offset base is what lets it swing the device round and set it down close to the door rather than at the tailgate. It takes a manual wheelchair, a small power wheelchair or a scooter up to 210 lbs., it weighs 116 lbs. installed, and a dual-strapped hook stops the device spinning as it loads. Harmar builds it for driver side or passenger side mounting, and you choose the side on this page.

The AL825 raises a manual wheelchair, a small power wheelchair or a scooter weighing up to 210 lbs. into a pickup bed. The offset base sets the device down close to the driver or passenger side door, the boom lifts and rotates under power, and the arm adjusts from 34" to 41" in height and from 28.75" to 46.5" in length. The AL825 is the lift to look at when you drive a pickup, your scooter or chair is on the lighter side, and you do not want to walk it round to the tailgate. Harmar built the 800 series around the offset base, so the boom turns and puts the device down near the door you are already standing at. That is the whole point of it, and it is a real difference from a lift that only goes straight up and over the bed rail.
Three honest caveats. It carries 210 lbs., which covers most scooters and lighter manual and power chairs and stops well short of a heavy mid-wheel power chair, and the AL835 is the same lift rated to 350 lbs. if that is you. The arm adjusts from 28.75" to 46.5", which suits a standard cab or an extended cab, and a crew cab is what the AL825CC exists for. And the docking device that grips your chair is a real second cost that Harmar does not include, priced on this page so you can see the whole figure before you order.
Look at the AL435T instead if you want the boom to extend under power as well as lift and turn, because that is Harmar's three axis truck lift and it reaches over the tailgate to the curb. Look at the AL835 if your equipment is heavier than 210 lbs.

Fitting it to your vehicle
A truck lift is installed on the vehicle rather than unpacked and used. This is what that involves.
The lift mounts in the truck bed on a base line adapter, and Harmar builds that adapter for the driver side or the passenger side. You choose the side in the step headed Base adapter and nothing is added to your order either way, because the adapter comes with the lift. Tell us the side before you order, because a vehicle lift is fitted to the truck and cannot be sent back. The arm height adjusts from 34" to 41" and the length adjusts from 28.75" to 46.5". The docking device that holds your equipment is not included, because the right part depends on the chair or scooter it has to lift.
Before you order

What is not covered
The three year term runs from the date of installation and from the date of retail purchase. Harmar states that the warranty is transferable only where the application is approved by Harmar's Compatibility Calculator, so a lift fitted to a vehicle that was never checked may not carry a transferable warranty.
If something goes wrong
Call us first at 1-855-HIELINE. We file the claim with Harmar for you and get the covered part sorted out rather than handing you a phone number. The base warranty covers parts, so ask us about service and labor options when you call.
Returns
A truck lift cannot be returned. It is fitted to your vehicle, wired into it and in many installations drilled into it, so once that work is done the unit is matched to one car and it has no second life on the shelf. This is exactly why the steps beside this panel exist. They settle the mounting, the adapter and the plate riser before you order.
A unit that arrives damaged or faulty is a different matter and is covered above. Contact us before anyone begins the installation.

You can run it from its own battery instead by adding the battery pack in the step headed Accessories. It comes with a charger, and use it where a hybrid or electric vehicle has no 12 volt battery able to power a mobility lift.
Harmar builds a mounting kit for that case and it is listed under Accessories as the Ford F-series aluminum bed mounting kit. It is charged at list price and it is in addition to the base line adapter rather than in place of it.

Resources
The base adapter is the plate the lift bolts to inside your vehicle. A universal one comes in the box at no charge and it suits most vehicles. Some vehicles need the adapter built for them instead, and where yours does, the part below replaces the universal one rather than adding to it. If you are not sure, leave it on the included part and we confirm it against the vehicle you give us before your order ships.

The docking device is the fitting that grips your wheelchair or scooter so the lift can raise it. The manufacturer does not put one in the box, because the right one depends on your equipment, and the lift cannot carry anything without it. Most chairs and scooters lift either by the centre seat post or by the four post seat frame. Choose the one that matches yours and we confirm the exact part with you before your order ships.
2 · Your docking device
This answer decides how much you have to work out yourself. A truck lift is wired into the vehicle and bolted to a base inside it, so it is fitted rather than unpacked.
