What stands out
The Adaptive Power Cradle replaces the spreader bar or cradle on a Presence or Stature and does the repositioning for the caregiver. Buttons in the cradle handle move the person toward a reclined or an upright position, in small steps or in one motion, so the caregiver does not push the person into posture by hand. It carries 500 lbs., rotates 360 degrees and takes Hoyer Comfort slings with Securi3 clips. It runs on its own 24V battery, which a magnet holds in the control box on the cradle. Two batteries, the charger, two boom caps and the manual come with it, and a battery charges in about 6 hours. Joerns says it retrofits in under five minutes with no special tools. It weighs 20.9 lbs. with a battery. Loop slings do not fit it, and Joerns names it only for the Presence and the Stature. Joerns asks that it is used indoors in a clean, dry room.
