What stands out
The Advance is the Hoyer sling lift for a home where space is tight or where the lift has to travel. It does the full job of a floor lift. The spreader bar comes down to 15.3", which is low enough to pick a person up from the floor, and goes up to 66.5", which clears a bed or a wheelchair. The legs taper and open to 39.4" inside, so the base goes around a recliner, a commode or a wide wheelchair and brings the mast close to the person. The frame is aluminum and the whole lift weighs 69.7 lbs. with its battery. It folds without tools to 46.5" by 21.7" by 17.7", stands upright on its own when folded, and comes apart into two pieces of about 33 lbs. and 31 lbs. for a car trunk. The trade is capacity and convenience. It carries 340 lbs., and you open the legs with a foot pedal. The Hoyer Presence carries 500 lbs. and opens its legs from the hand control. The Advance ships without a sling, and it needs a Hoyer loop sling on its 6-point spreader bar.
