What stands out
This part puts a scale and a 4-point cradle on a Presence in one step. The cradle takes Hoyer Comfort slings with Securi3 clips, and the caregiver rotates it by its handle to change the posture of the person. The scale weighs the person while they hang in the sling. Joerns describes the scale as easy to use with intuitive controls, NAWI Class III rated and suited to patient monitoring, and says it does not compromise lifting height. The display and the controls are on both sides, so the caregiver reads it from either side of the lift. A Recall function stores the last reading, one button changes pounds to kilograms, and it runs on a standard 9V battery. It hangs from the boom on the quick-release pin, in place of the 6-point spreader bar. Loop slings do not fit it. Joerns names this part only for the Presence.
