The Hoyer Repositioning Sling is a full length sling of breathable, pliable mesh. It normally stays on the bed under the top sheet, so it is in place whenever the person needs to be moved up the bed, turned or transferred. Loop straps along both sides hang from the spreader bar, and the manual shows which loops to use for repositioning, for turning and for a seated transfer. Joerns rates it to 1,000 lbs. It has webbing loops for a Hoyer loop spreader bar, such as the one on the Hoyer Advance, the Presence or the HPL700. The safe working load is 1,000 lbs., and the lift's own capacity still applies. Joerns asks that a competent person assesses the person, the sling and the transfer before any sling is used.
