The Hoyer Twin Turner is a narrow sling that is pushed under the person at the lower back while they lie in bed. One end fastens to the bed frame with a Velcro strap and the loop straps at the other end hang from the lift. Raising the lift then rolls the person onto their side and holds them there for hygiene, skin care or another care task. Joerns designed it to go in and come out easily. It is rated to 625 lbs. It has webbing loops for a Hoyer loop spreader bar, such as the one on the Hoyer Advance, the Presence or the HPL700. The safe working load is 625 lbs., and the lift's own capacity still applies. Joerns asks that a competent person assesses the person, the sling and the transfer before any sling is used.
