The Invacare Reliant Full Body Commode Sling is a full body mesh sling with an opening in the seat, so the person can use a commode or toilet without coming out of the sling. It holds up to 450 lbs., comes in three sizes and fits the Invacare Reliant 450 and Reliant 600.
A full body mesh sling with head and neck support and a seat opening for commode and toilet use.
What stands out
This sling does the same job as the full body sling and adds an opening in the seat. The person can be lowered onto a commode or toilet and stay in the sling, which saves a second transfer. It supports the head and neck, so it suits someone who is totally dependent, cannot bear weight or has little head control. The fabric is mesh, which can be used wet or dry, so it also works for the shower chair. Pick the size by weight and build from the chart, up to 450 lbs.
Straight talk
Is it right for you?
A good fit if you
- need full body support and use a commode or toilet
- want to avoid a second transfer for toileting
Look elsewhere if you
- weigh more than 450 lbs.
- have full head control and only need toileting access, where the Toileting Sling is simpler
