The Journey UPbed Standard is a motorized bed that moves between four positions from a hand remote: flat to sleep, sit-up to read, chair to relax, and a forward lift that tilts you toward your feet to help you stand. It comes with a 6" memory foam mattress and padded rails, carries 600 lbs., and takes standard Twin or Twin XL sheets.

What stands out
The UPbed does something a normal adjustable base does not. Its lift position raises and tilts the whole surface forward until your feet are on the floor, so getting out of bed becomes standing up from a chair. That is the reason to buy it, and it suits someone who now needs help to get up in the morning. It also looks like a bedroom bed, and it takes ordinary Twin or Twin XL sheets. Choose the size by height, because the Twin is 75" long and the Twin XL is 80", and Journey points anyone around 6' or taller to the XL. It carries 600 lbs. evenly spread, though the head and foot sections are not built to lift that full weight. There are two things to plan for. A bed cannot be returned once it is delivered, and delivery is its own line at checkout, where white glove brings it in and sets it up for you.

Delivery on the UPbed is its own line at checkout, and you choose it in the buy box.
White glove delivery, $499. A team delivers the bed to your home, unpacks it, places it in the room you choose and hauls away all the packaging, so it is ready to use when they leave.
Threshold delivery, $350. The bed is left just inside your door. You unpack it and assemble it yourself, which the owner's manual covers in five steps with the supplied Allen wrench.
The delivery time is arranged with you in advance. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks. Delivery is available in the contiguous U.S. only, and delivery charges are not refunded once the service is done.

Beds and mattresses cannot be returned once they are delivered, for health and hygiene reasons. Choose the size carefully, and call us before you order if you are unsure. If the bed arrives damaged or defective, tell us within 48 hours of delivery and we will get it repaired or replaced at no cost to you. The warranty above still applies.
