Click to zoomMedline Hydraulic Patient Lift
This manual sling lift carries 400 lbs., is raised with a hand pump and comes with a sling.
A manual sling lift that raises a person with a hand pump. It ships with a 6-point cradle and a sling, the U-shaped base opens around a chair, and a low base version slides under a low bed.
What stands out
The Medline Hydraulic Patient Lift is a hand-pumped sling lift for a home where a caregiver is able to pump and a battery lift is more than the budget allows. There is no motor and no battery. You close the release on the hydraulic pump and work the handle to raise the boom, and you open the release slowly to lower it. Medline ships the pump with either a release knob or a release flapper, and the manual covers both. The boom travels from 28" to 73". A lever spreads the U-shaped base so it can go around a wheelchair or a commode. The standard base sits 5.5" off the floor, and the low base version sits 2.4" off the floor so it can roll under a bed with little room beneath it. The lift carries 400 lbs. and weighs 85 lbs. It ships with its 6-point cradle and a Medline sling, so it is ready to use once it is assembled. Medline asks that only compatible slings be used on its lifts, so plan any spare sling around that. Every lift is pumped by hand, and if pumping is hard for the caregiver, a battery lift that runs from a hand control will suit the home better.
Straight talk
Is it right for you?
A good fit if you
- cannot stand and need a sling lift
- weigh up to 400 lbs.
- have a caregiver who is able to work a hand pump
- want a lift with no battery
Look elsewhere if you
- weigh more than 400 lbs.
- have a caregiver who cannot pump by hand, where a battery lift does the lifting from a hand control
- can bear some weight and want a stand aid
- need to move a person from room to room in the lift
