What stands out
The 1037HD is the 1027HD with a backrest, and the back is worth the extra money if the user leans while washing or gets tired sitting upright. Everything else is the same: a reinforced cross-braced aluminum frame rated to 500 lbs., a 19.5" seat drilled for drainage and two moulded slots that hold a hand-held shower head. The back lifts off on spring buttons, so you can drop to the plain version whenever the shower is tight. There are no armrests on either model, so if you need something to push up from, look at a standard chair with arms and check the 300 lbs. rating first. It stands inside the tub or shower, so it does not help you over a tub wall.
