The Evolution is the chair to look at when capacity or seat width is the problem. It runs from a Small at 400 lbs. up to an XXL rated to 600 lbs. with a 29" seat, which is the widest chair we sell.
It is a 3-position chair throughout, and it carries the same lifetime frame and mechanism warranty as Pride's VivaLift range.

Enhanced 3-position on the smaller sizes
Small, Medium and Large use Pride's enhanced mechanism, which adds resting positions between upright and flat. The XL and the XXL use the traditional one.
Storage and charging in the arms
On the Small, Medium and Large the arms pull out to a cup holder and a storage area, with USB-A and USB-C chargers inside. The XL and the XXL put a USB-C charger in the hand control.
Hand control on an extended cord
The toggle control runs on a long cord that docks magnetically to either arm, so it reaches and it stays put.
Battery backup on the XL and the XXL
The two largest sizes carry a 2 amp lithium battery backup, so the chair still lifts during a power cut.
Lifetime frame and mechanism warranty
Pride covers the lift and recline mechanisms and the chair frame for life, with four years on the motor, hand control and transformer and three more prorated.
This is the only chair in our lift chair range where the size changes the weight rating, so read that line in the specifications before you read anything else. Small, Medium and Large hold 400 lbs. The XL holds 500 lbs. on a 25.5" seat. The XXL holds 600 lbs. on a 29" seat. Nothing else we sell goes past 400 lbs., so if that is the requirement, the choice is already made. The sizes are genuinely different chairs underneath. Small through Large use Pride's enhanced 3-position mechanism, which gives you extra resting stops, and they get a cup holder and a storage area in the pull out arms with USB-A and USB-C chargers inside. The XL and the XXL use the traditional mechanism, put a USB-C charger in the hand control instead, and add a 2 amp lithium battery backup. The warranty is the quiet reason to pick this over the Genesis. Pride covers the Evolution's frame and mechanisms for life and the Genesis for two years, and the price gap between them is not large.

What is not covered
Fabric is not covered. Pride is not responsible for labor, service calls, shipping, or any other charges incurred to repair the chair.
The warranty also does not cover circumstances beyond Pride's control, or repairs and modifications made without Pride's consent. Damage is not covered when it comes from contamination, abuse, misuse, accident or negligence, improper operation, maintenance or storage, or commercial use or use other than normal.
If something goes wrong
Call us first at 1-855-HIELINE. We file the claim with Pride Mobility for you and get the covered part sorted out rather than handing you a phone number. The base warranty covers parts, so ask us about service and labor options when you call.

It keeps working. Pride builds an integrated battery backup into every size of the Evolution, so the chair can still raise you to standing in a power cut. The XL and XXL use Pride's 2 amp lithium backup as standard.
No. The Evolution has neither. Pride builds heat into the VivaLift Radiance and builds both heat and massage into the VivaLift Ultra, and we carry both of those chairs.
Overall width runs 35" on the Small and the Medium, 39" on the Large, 41.5" on the XL and 46.5" on the XXL. Clearance behind the chair is 16" on the Small, 17.5" on the Medium and 19" on the other three. The Large stands 64" high, which is the tallest chair we carry.
Cosi in Mocha or Gravel is offered in all five sizes, and so is a Sta-Kleen in Chestnut. Cosi Blue Diamond is offered on the Small, the Medium, the Large and the XL. Cosi Syrah is offered on the Small, the Medium and the Large. Choose the one you want under Fabric above the price. The picture changes to the fabric you pick, and every fabric costs the same. Fabrics that your size does not take will not be offered once you pick the size.
No. A lift chair is built and configured for one person, so it cannot be returned once it ships, and a white glove delivery you have signed for is final. Check the size and the fabric before you order.

This chair comes in five sizes, and the size decides three things at once: the height it fits, the seat width, and how much weight it carries.
Small suits 5'3" and under with an 18" seat. Medium suits 5'4" to 5'9" with a 20" seat. Large suits 5'9" to 6' with a 22" seat. All three carry 400 lbs.
XL and XXL both suit 5'8" to 6'1". The XL gives a 25.5" seat and carries 500 lbs. The XXL gives a 29" seat and carries 600 lbs.
Start with height, then check the seat width against the widest part of your hips, then check the capacity. Measure the room as well. The chair is 35 to 46.5" wide overall and needs 16 to 19" of clearance behind it.
The two largest sizes are built differently. They use the traditional three-position mechanism and Total Comfort seating, and they carry a 2 amp lithium battery backup. The first three use the enhanced three-position mechanism and Coil Pocketed Spring seating, and their arms pull out to a cup holder, a storage area and USB charging ports.

Curbside is the free option. The lift chair ships from the manufacturer straight to your address. Allow about two to three days for the order to be processed and shipped, then about five more in transit depending on where you live. No carrier in this trade quotes an exact date, so treat both figures as estimates rather than promises. It arrives boxed at the curb, and getting it inside is yours to arrange.
Inside delivery means we bring it just inside your front door or into the garage, still in its packaging.
White glove takes a different route. It does not come to your address first. It ships to the delivery technician nearest you, and once it arrives there the technician calls you and books a time that suits you, then brings it into your home, sets it up in the room you choose, checks it for shipping damage and takes all the packaging away. That extra leg adds a few days, and the date is settled between you and the technician, so we cannot give you one up front.
Which one you take is up to you. Some people are glad to unpack a new lift chair and set it up themselves. Others would rather it arrived working, in the room they want it, with the packaging gone. Both are good reasons, and each card shows what it costs.
