The toggle control holds magnetically to the left arm or the right arm, so it is where you left it rather than down the side of the cushion.

If the power fails, the chair still moves, so nobody is left reclined and waiting.
Padded chaise all the way down
The chaise pad supports the legs end to end, so there is no pressure point behind the knee when the footrest is up.
Sinuous spring seating
The seat is built on sinuous springs, which is the traditional construction and the reason this chair sits the way people expect a recliner to sit.
Check the weight rating first on this one. The Genesis holds 325 lbs., which is lower than every other lift chair we sell, and going over it voids the warranty. If the person using the chair is anywhere near that number, move up to the Evolution. Past that, the Genesis is honest value. A 3-position chair moves the back and the chaise together, so you get upright, part way back for television, and near flat for a nap. For a lot of people that is every position they will ever use, and paying for infinite positioning would be paying for a dial they never turn. Two things we like more than we expected. The hand control docks magnetically on either side, which sounds trivial until you have hunted for a remote that slid down the cushion. And the battery backup is standard, so the chair still works in a power cut, which is not a given at this price. The warranty is the real gap. Pride covers the Genesis for two years. The VivaLift chairs and the Evolution carry a lifetime term on the frame and the mechanisms.

What is not covered
Warranty claims for electronic assemblies may become void if the damage results from parts or accessories that are not Pride original parts and were not bought through an authorized Pride provider.
Exceeding the chair's 325 lbs. weight capacity voids the warranty.

Call us first at 1-855-HIELINE. We file the claim with Pride Mobility for you and get the covered part sorted out rather than handing you a phone number. The base warranty covers parts, so ask us about service and labor options when you call.

Pride matches the size to the user's height. Small suits 5'3" and under, and Medium suits 5'4" to 5'9". Seat width is 20" on the Small and 22" on the Medium, so check that against the widest part of your hips before you decide.
325 lbs. in both sizes. If you need more than that, the Sitting Pretty Evolution carries 400 lbs. in its first three sizes and 500 lbs. and 600 lbs. in the two largest, and we carry that chair.
It is a traditional three-position lift recliner. The back and the chaise work in tandem, so the chair moves through set positions rather than holding any angle you choose. If you want the backrest and the footrest to move independently, look at the VivaLift range.
No. The Genesis has neither. Pride builds heat into the VivaLift Radiance and builds both heat and massage into the VivaLift Ultra, and we carry both of those chairs.
The chair carries an integrated battery backup for power failures, so it still operates during a power cut.
Overall width is 32" on the Small and 33" on the Medium, which makes this the narrowest chair in our lift chair range. It needs 17" of clearance behind it on the Small and 18.5" on the Medium, and it stands 55" and 59" high.

Height comes first because it sets where the seat, the back and the chaise meet your body. Then check the seat width, which is 20" on the Small and 22" on the Medium. Measure the widest part of your hips and leave yourself room on both sides.
Both sizes carry 325 lbs. Both are narrow for a lift chair at 32" and 33" wide overall, and they need 17" and 18.5" of clearance behind them.

Curbside is the free option. The lift chair ships from the manufacturer straight to your address. Allow about two to three days for the order to be processed and shipped, then about five more in transit depending on where you live. No carrier in this trade quotes an exact date, so treat both figures as estimates rather than promises. It arrives boxed at the curb, and getting it inside is yours to arrange.
Inside delivery means we bring it just inside your front door or into the garage, still in its packaging.
White glove takes a different route. It does not come to your address first. It ships to the delivery technician nearest you, and once it arrives there the technician calls you and books a time that suits you, then brings it into your home, sets it up in the room you choose, checks it for shipping damage and takes all the packaging away. That extra leg adds a few days, and the date is settled between you and the technician, so we cannot give you one up front.
Which one you take is up to you. Some people are glad to unpack a new lift chair and set it up themselves. Others would rather it arrived working, in the room they want it, with the packaging gone. Both are good reasons, and each card shows what it costs.
