It comes in three sizes fitted to the person's height, and every one of them holds 400 lbs.

The backrest and the footrest move independently, so you can raise your feet above your heart and keep sitting upright, or lay the whole chair back to near flat for a nap.
Power headrest and power lumbar
Both adjust from the remote. The headrest lifts your head, neck and shoulders, and the lumbar lets you set how much support your lower back gets.
Lithium battery backup
If the power goes out, the chair still works, including raising it to the standing position. That is the feature nobody thinks about until the night they need it.
Toggle remote with two memory positions
One toggle runs the lift and the recline. Two buttons store the positions you actually use, so you get back to them without hunting.
USB charger in the remote
Charge a phone or a tablet from the chair, without a cable run across the room.
Total Comfort seating and a padded chaise
The chaise is padded end to end, so there is no gap under your knees when the footrest comes up.
This is the Tranquil 2's job in one sentence: it is the least expensive way into a true infinite position chair from Pride, and it gets there by leaving out heat and massage. That trade is a good one for most people. The parts that matter for getting out of a chair safely are the lift motor, the independent backrest and the power headrest, and the Tranquil 2 has all three. If you want heat, the Radiance adds it for a few hundred more. If you want heat and massage together, that is the Ultra. The one thing we would check before you order is the seat width. The Large/Tall tops out at 23.5", and if you need wider than that in this price range, look at the Radiance Petite Wide at 24" or the Evolution XL at 25.5".

Warranty and returns
The Pride VivaLift Tranquil 2 is covered by Pride Mobility's own limited warranty, published by Pride Mobility as follows.

What is not covered
Fabric is not covered. Pride does not pay for labor, service calls, shipping, or other charges incurred to repair the chair unless Pride authorizes them in advance. Transportation costs, and any shipping damage that happens while parts are sent in for repair or replacement, are the purchaser's responsibility.
The warranty also does not cover circumstances beyond Pride's control, or repairs and modifications made to any part without Pride's consent. Damage is not covered when it comes from contamination, abuse, misuse, accident or negligence, battery fluid spillage or leakage, improper operation, maintenance or storage, or commercial use or use other than normal.
If something goes wrong
Call us first at 1-855-HIELINE. We file the claim with Pride Mobility for you and get the covered part sorted out rather than handing you a phone number. The base warranty covers parts, so ask us about service and labor options when you call.
Returns
Lift chairs cannot be returned. New or used, a lift chair is a personal medical device built and configured specifically for the person who ordered it. That is why every size and fabric figure is on this page, and why we answer questions before you place the order.

Pride matches the size to the user's height. Small suits 5'3" and below, Medium suits 5'4" to 5'9", and Large/Tall suits 5'10" and above. Seat width runs 20" on the Small, 22" on the Medium and 23.5" on the Large/Tall, so check that against the widest part of your hips before you decide.
Overall width is 33.75" on the Small, 37.5" on the Medium and 38" on the Large/Tall. The chair needs 13" of clearance behind it on the Small and 16" on the other two sizes. Overall height runs 40", 42" and 47" across the three sizes.
No. The Tranquil 2 has neither. Pride builds heat into the VivaLift Radiance and builds both heat and massage into the VivaLift Ultra, and we carry both of those chairs.
The chair keeps working. A lithium battery backup runs it through a power cut, including raising it to the standing position. The battery pack carries a 12 month warranty.

Height comes first because it sets where the seat, the back and the footrest meet your body. Then check the seat width, which runs 20" on the Small, 22" on the Medium and 23.5" on the Large/Tall. Measure the widest part of your hips and leave yourself room on both sides.
Last, check the room itself. The chair is 33.75 to 38" wide overall and needs 13 to 16" of clearance behind it, and the taller sizes stand 47" high.

Curbside is the free option. The lift chair ships from the manufacturer straight to your address. Allow about two to three days for the order to be processed and shipped, then about five more in transit depending on where you live. No carrier in this trade quotes an exact date, so treat both figures as estimates rather than promises. It arrives boxed at the curb, and getting it inside is yours to arrange.
Inside delivery means we bring it just inside your front door or into the garage, still in its packaging.
White glove takes a different route. It does not come to your address first. It ships to the delivery technician nearest you, and once it arrives there the technician calls you and books a time that suits you, then brings it into your home, sets it up in the room you choose, checks it for shipping damage and takes all the packaging away. That extra leg adds a few days, and the date is settled between you and the technician, so we cannot give you one up front.
Which one you take is up to you. Some people are glad to unpack a new lift chair and set it up themselves. Others would rather it arrived working, in the room they want it, with the packaging gone. Both are good reasons, and each card shows what it costs.
