The Prime Bed Handle is a bariatric bed handle rated to 400 lbs., so it gives heavier users a dependable grip for getting in and out of bed. The handle lifts off its base when you want the bedside clear. It stands 18.75" above the mattress base on a 19.5" by 28.5" board that slides under the mattress, fits a 6" to 15" mattress, and comes with an organizer pouch.
A bariatric steel bed handle standing 18.75" above the mattress base on a 19.5 by 28.5" base, with a removable handle for bed access, fitting mattresses 6 to 15" thick and rated to 400 lbs.
What stands out
The Prime is the bariatric single handle. It carries 400 lbs. where every other one-handle product here stops at 300, on a 19.5 by 28.5" base, standing 18.75" above the mattress base, and the handle lifts out when you want full access to the bed. It also takes mattresses 6 to 15", a wider window than either Click handle.
What you give up is rail. The handle itself is 10.5", tied with the BedCane for the shortest in the group, so this is something to grip and push up from rather than a length of rail that stops a roll. At $160 it is double the Wonder Bed Handle, and the warranty is 2 years where the Wonder Bed Handle and both Click handles are lifetime.
If you need more than 300 lbs. from a single handle, this is the one that gives it. If you need 500 lbs., or a handle on both sides, the EZ Click LTC Bed Handle set does that for $280. If 300 lbs. is enough and you want more rail for less, the Wonder Bed Handle is half the price.
The Prime Bed Handle is covered by Stander's own limited warranty. The coverage we have on record is below.
