The Model R 3-Wheel is the scooter to look at when a scooter normally feels too big for the house. A 35.8" turning radius is tight for this class, the front wheel turns at a right angle, and the three-wheel front end frees up the foot room that a four-wheel base takes away, so shop aisles and a lift stop being a problem. The suspension is the other reason to pick it. Independent springing with a stabiliser bar is unusual at any price, and what it buys you is staying level over a kerb cut rather than rocking across it. Two things to weigh honestly. Three wheels are less stable than four on a camber or a slope, and the 4-Wheel version trades 2.4" of turning circle for that stability. And while it does come apart for transport, the assembled scooter is 115.1 lbs. and WHILL does not publish the piece weights, so talk to us before you assume you can load it alone. The IPX5 rating and the airline approved battery are both real and both unusual.

Returns
This mobility scooter may be returned within 30 days of delivery if it is unused and in the original packaging. Contact us before starting a return. A mobility scooter that has been used or is missing original packaging is not eligible for return. See our return policy for complete details.

The heaviest piece you lift is the main body at 44.8 lbs.
The tiller panels. The frame and the seat are the same on every one, and the panels are also sold separately as a set, so the color can be changed later.
It is rated IPX5, which covers water jets, so light rain and a wet path are fine. Do not leave it standing out in weather, and dry the seat before you use it.
WHILL builds it to reach 5 mph and sets it to 3.7 mph where local rules require a lower limit. The lower limit applies in parts of Europe. WHILL's manual puts the limit in the U.S. at 5 mph, so 5 mph is the top speed of the scooter we sell.

Curbside is the free option. The mobility scooter ships from the manufacturer straight to your address. Allow about two to three days for the order to be processed and shipped, then about five more in transit depending on where you live. No carrier in this trade quotes an exact date, so treat both figures as estimates rather than promises. It arrives boxed at the curb, and getting it inside is yours to arrange.
This one comes in a single box and the setup is not hard. The box goes through a normal doorway and most people manage it on their own. The free option is a fair choice here.
